Are We There Yet?

The students in the  third grade  at Roosevelt School in Worcester, Massachusetts have been investigating movable communities (Pilgrims, Pioneers, and native Americans as they moved from rural to more urban areas) and their impact on the natural and built environment.   This unit of study grew out of a grant received from Assumption College's University of Transportation Center.  As a result, we have explored the historical progression of transportation throughout the United States.  We created a timeline, wrote letters from the New Land, read and wrote tall tales, joined a wagon train, and rode the transcontinental railroad.  We hope you enjoy our site!
